The RPG is a lighthearted first person RPG adventure where you attempt to defeat a glitchy dragon in a fantasy world that’s not what it seems.
Drawing inspiration from Skyrim, West of Loathing and Supraland, The RPG turns traditional fantasy role-playing conventions on their head with a refreshingly quirky approach. Set on a mysterious Adventure Island, players explore a commercialized dungeon complete with turnstiles and elevators, managed by a bureaucratic administration that maintains everything from torch lighting to monster healthcare.
The RPG strips away typical RPG complexities – healing is as simple as applying bread to wounds, and loot is sold by weight rather than individual items and it eschews complicated skill trees and cumbersome management systems. It maintains core RPG elements like inventory and leveling though, complete with stat upgrades and weapons/equipment.
At its heart lies an intriguing narrative featuring a glitch-causing Dragon and a morally questionable “Cool King”. Players uncover dark secrets about the dungeon’s true nature and its trapped monsters, stuck in an endless respawn cycle. It’s a very entertaining RPG adventure that makes for an easily accessible, fresh and fun take on the genre. Highly recommended.
